User Review: Credit Diagnosis wasn’t exactly what I was looking for when I went hunting for debt collection help. However, with all of their tools, I realized that I was capable of handling my own debt and since I was able to monitor it that made it much easier. I’m grateful for their service, because it saved me a lot of money and a lot of stress.

Debt Free in Three
877 Kershaw Hwy.
Camden, SC 29020
866-571-1952
www.debt-free-in-three.com
Services Offered: Debt collection relief
Company Overview: Debt Free in Three is a program that is offered by Clint Holland. He started the company in 2005 after building his own program to get out of debt collection. The program comes with a 100% guarantee, and the company has served thousands of consumers since they started.
Our Review: Debt Free in Three is a great alternative to other forms of debt collection settlement. The program has a guarantee, too, which we love. That means that this program works, and if it doesn’t, you lose nothing. The customer service is excellent, and the information is easy to find on the website, as well.
User Review: Debt Free in Three wasn’t what I expected. At first, I was convinced it was a fake deal like you see on Dateline all the time. But then I decided to give it a chance, since I learned more about the company through research. I’m so glad that I did, because I got rid of my debt fast, and without having to pay a settlement company a ton of money.

Living on a Dime
P.O. Box 844
Andover, KS 67002
www.livingonadime.com
Services Offered: Debt collection relief
Company Overview: Living on a Dime is a book written by a mother-daughter duo that was published in 1999. The program serves to offer information on getting out and staying out of debt through the book’s content. The authors have been living the lifestyle that they teach for over 20 years collectively, and they sell thousands of books each year.
Our Review: Living on a Dime offers a great alternative to settlement companies and consolidation for those who are in debt. By teaching people how to live more frugally, they help them to get out of debt and stay that way. If more people learned a new way of living, rather than getting instant gratification from a settlement company, consumer debt might not be such a big problem for the world.
User Review: Living on a Dime was a great book! I ended up learning a lot more about money management and ways to save than I expected. Instead of paying hundreds for a debt settlement service, I only paid for the cost of the book, and now I live without debt. It makes life much less stressful, and I’m forever grateful to the ladies who wrote the book.

Our Review: DebtRite is a good company for those looking to take care of debt collection issues. They work for the customer to eliminate as many late charges and fees as they can, and can save you a lot of money. Their customer service is excellent, and the website makes getting started easy.
User Review: DebtRite was super helpful in getting me out of debt. I called all the debt collection agencies that I had accounts with, and the amount that I owed was more than $75,000. After working with DebtRite, I ended up paying off about $40,000 of that debt, and have been happily debt free since that time.

How to Negotiate When Facing Debt Collection Companies:

Many people get so far into debt that their accounts wind up with debt collection companies. It’s not uncommon for people to have to deal with collection agencies. However, many people think that they’re required to take the harassing phone calls and do exactly what the debt collector says they have to. In reality, the company can only call you a reasonable number of times each day, between the hours of 9 AM and 9 PM, and you can tell them to stop calling at any time. If you make contact and discuss your inability to pay and request the phone calls to stop, they have to stop them. Otherwise they are violating your rights and the rules of debt collection. If a collector is calling your workplace, they can also get into trouble if they have been told not to call there. It is their job to get in contact with you and take care of the debt, but not at the expense of your peace of mind. If a company calls repeatedly or tries to threaten you into paying a debt, you need to contact the Better Business Bureau and report their unprofessional behavior. When it comes to actually paying off your debt, you do have some room to negotiate with debt collection companies, as well. You should never call them and simply ask “How much do I owe?”. Instead, you should call them and explain your situation and ask them how you can get the debt taken care of. Tell them that you don’t have a lot of money, but you want to get it settled. Ask about payment plans and tell them what YOU can afford. If, at any point, they refuse a payment that you offer them, you should ask to speak to a supervisor and contact the original creditor if need be to get the debt taken care of. You do have options when it comes to debt collection. Knowing those options could save you a lot of stress when dealing with collectors.
